We began converting the farm to organic standards when we became increasingly concerned about the effects of intensive agriculture upon the environment, and today it is run by the fourth generation , Ian and Lyndsay Shears and their young family. Currently Highfield Farm rears organic cattle , including native breed Dexters, and produces organic wheat for milling and organic barley for animal feed. We are commited to doing all that we can to protect the environment, and that is why we joined Higher Level Stewardship in 2006 . This will enable us to continue protecting wildlife and their rare habitats.Our recently completed green oak classroom offers a truly different, inspiring environment for school visits , conferences or training events.Please follow the links to learn more about what Highfield Farm can offer you.
