Campsite description: Quiet, family-run site perfectly located for exploring the Northern Highlands Dunroamin Caravan & Camping Park is a small family-operated park nestled at the top of the picturesque village of Lairg just 300 yards from Loch Shin. Ideally suited for exploring the Shin Triangle, Sutherland and Caithness, the neat little park offers spacious pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tent campers in a sheltered location with beautiful views. The Camping Park has 40 level grassy pitches for touring caravans, motor caravans and tents and nine caravan holiday homes for hire. There are eight hard standings and 15 electricity hook-ups. Pitches are not marked and tent campers can select their own spot in a field behind the row of holiday homes. A clean, but basic toilet block features one ladies shower and hairdryer and a washing machine is available for campers’ use. Enjoy homemade fare at the onsite restaurant next to the reception, which serves breakfasts, snacks and evening meals. Local activities include a multi-sports area, hiking, fishing and other water sports on the nearby Loch Shin.
